If you wish to address the Board during the Public Comment section of the meeting or during the corresponding agenda item, you must complete and submit a Public Comment Card before 6:30 PM.
You will be called upon during Agenda Item No. 8: Public Comment or during the agenda item you selected.
Please note:
If you attend the Board Meeting via Microsoft Teams, you will remain muted and will not be permitted to address the Board. Public comments may be made in person, and only individuals physically present at the meeting will be allowed to speak. Electronic Public Comment Cards submitted before the deadline will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees.
A participant— attending in person —who raises their hand to speak without submitting a Public Comment Card before 6:30 PM will not be permitted to address the Board. Any cards submitted after 6:30 PM will be provided to the Board after the meeting for their review.
The Board is prohibited by law from taking action on items not listed on the agenda. No adverse inference should be drawn if the Board does not respond to your comments at this time. However, Board Members may briefly respond, ask clarifying questions, request factual information from staff, or refer an item to staff for follow‑up.
For those attending the meeting via Microsoft Teams who also plan to submit a Public Comment Card, please note that while a name and email address are required, the email address does not need to be authenticated, and the name does not have to be a legal name. Initials (e.g., “A.B.”), “Supportive Staff,” “Caring Citizen,” etc., are acceptable.
If you have a comment or complaint concerning a specific employee, please refrain from making a public comment and instead contact the employee’s supervisor for resolution.
Please note: If technology fails and the Board Meeting cannot be viewed remotely, the meeting will continue as scheduled in compliance with the Brown Act.
