2026 Board Meeting Agendas and Minutes
Anyone may address the Board of Trustees regarding any subject that is within the Board’s subject-matter jurisdiction, in accordance with the Brown Act and applicable law (Government Code section 54954.3; Education Code sections 35145.5 and 72121.5). The Board of Trustees welcomes public participation on items that appear on the agenda and on matters not appearing on the agenda, consistent with the Brown Act.
Members of the public who wish to address the Board during the Public Comment portion of the meeting, or during the consideration of a specific agendized item, must complete and submit a Public Comment Card prior to the start of the General Open Session of the meeting. Public Comment Cards may be submitted electronically or in person. Electronic Public Comment Cards will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees.
Individuals are not required to sign in or otherwise disclose their name or other personal information as a condition of attending the meeting or addressing the Board. If you choose not to provide your name, you must indicate how you wish to be identified when called upon to speak.
Members of the public must be physically present at the Board meeting in order to provide verbal public comment. While the meeting may be viewed online via Microsoft Teams, online participants will be muted and will not be permitted to address the Board remotely.
You will be called upon to speak during the Public Comment portion of the meeting or during the discussion of the agendized item you selected. The Board may ask clarifying questions related to public comments on items appearing on the agenda or may refer such matters to the Superintendent or designee, as permitted by law (Education Code section 35145.5; Government Code section 54954.2). However, the Board may not take action on any item that is not listed on the agenda, except as authorized by Government Code section 54954.2. (Board Policy/Bylaw 9323)
Individual speakers shall be allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board on any agendized or non-agendized item. The total time allotted for public comment on all items shall be limited to twenty (20) minutes, unless modified by the Board. With Board consent, the Board President may increase or decrease the time allowed for public comment depending on the topic, the number of speakers, and the overall length of the agenda. The Board President may also poll speakers for or against a particular issue and may request that additional speakers speak only if they have new information to add. (BB 9323)
Anyone may appear at a Board meeting to testify in support of, or in opposition to, any item on the agenda presented to the Board for consideration.
If you wish to have an item placed on a future Board agenda for discussion and/or action, you must submit a written request to the Board Secretary/Superintendent no later than ten (10) working days prior to a regularly scheduled Board meeting. You will be notified of the decision after review by the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
If you have a comment or complaint regarding a specific employee, please refrain from making a public comment and instead contact the employee’s supervisor for resolution.
