Welcome to Riverview Middle School, Home of the Panthers!  There are so many wonderful things to look forward to in the 2025-2026 school year and I am glad to be a part of the Panther family.  2025-2026 brings us a newly renovated, state of the art classroom building with all the amenities!  The long-awaited new facility will be a new source of Panther Pride!  New systems will be in place to help us keep it looking new.    Another change for 2025-2026 is a new bell schedule with a seven-period day.  Classes will be 50 minutes long and students will now attend core and elective classes every day.  Now, more than ever, it is important to be here, every day, ready and on time so students don't miss out on core instruction and our new music classes and other electives.

This year, as a school, we are focused on schoolwide expectations of PAWS:  Preparation, Attitude, Wise Choices and Safety First to create a community of learners dedicated to academic, personal and social growth so each student is prepared for success in high school and beyond.  Panthers will focus on organizing our time, materials and ourselves so we can set goals, make new friends, develop new skills and deepen academic conversations that will enhance our ability to be lifelong learners.  A new policy in 2025-2026 that will support our focus is our phone free educational environment. All students bringing a cell phone, smart watch or other personal electronic device to school will turn them off and lock them in a personal pouch at the beginning of the day.  Students will carry their locked pouch with them throughout the day and unlock the pouch as they exit school at the end of the day.  We are excited about the opportunity to focus, more fully, on developing academic skills and creating lasting, inclusive social relationships.

We are also excited to expand our student leadership opportunities to create a positive school culture WITH and FOR our newest Panthers.  Opportunities include Student Leadership, Student Council, Principal's Student Advisory Council and AVID Student Leadership, not to mention student leadership in publishing our online newspaper and Yearbook club.  Now is the time to get involved in the Panther Pride at Riverview Middle School!
